"We met Roger by happenstance at an Open House in the summer of 2011 when we were fairly early in the house hunting process. We still hadn't finalized on an agent then, but the way Roger talked to us and other visitors to the Open House made us consider him to be our agent. What followed was a 7-month long house hunt which started in Fremont and took us all over the East Bay and finally ended when we found our home towards the end of 2011.
 
We did talk to a number of agents before deciding on having Roger represent us. Here is why we have recommended Roger to our friends.
  • Hard working - In the five months we actively looked for a house, Roger was available to take us on a tour on any property we liked at a moment's notice, come rain or shine. He was out with us on weekdays, weekends and just about any given time of the day even if he was in another part of the town attending to other business.
  • Very accessible - The few times that I actually couldn't talk to Roger and left him a message was when he was actively trying to reach me. Roger has been very accessible throughout the house hunt process right from the time we started seeing houses to the time when we closed.
  • No pressure - During the 5 months we were actively house hunting with Roger, we did let go of a number of houses (~60) due to one reason or the other. We faced absolutely no pressure to make or increase an offer on a house any time. The lack of pressure was something we really wanted and found it lacking in some of the other agents we spoke to.
  • Technology driven - Roger is very tech savvy. We used to share an online excel sheet to track our listings and our opinion. He also uses other time-saving technologies like Docusign which makes the whole paperwork process very easy and smooth.
  • Go the extra mile - We hit a number of issues from the listing agent's side during the close of the sale. Roger went the extra mile during this time to help us close on time. A number of agents do talk about going the extra mile, but many of them might not follow through. Roger absolutely followed through with it which sets him apart from a number of others we had talked to.
